Who we are
This website compares the premiums of Swiss mandatory basic health insurance as approved by the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH). The comparison is free and works without registration. Controller: info@praemienradar.ch.
What data we process
For the comparison: postcode, municipality, year of birth, deductible, insurance model, accident cover and optionally your current insurer. We need these to calculate the tariffs that apply to you. As long as you do not submit the request form, we do not store them.
If you request advice: additionally salutation, first and last name, your e-mail address and your phone number as well as the contact channels you selected (phone, WhatsApp, Viber). The number is needed because advice is given by phone or message. As proof of your consent we also store the date and time, your IP address, the exact wording of the consent and its version.
If you ask to be notified about the new premiums: only your e-mail address and the comparison details (postcode, municipality, years of birth, deductible, model, optionally your current insurer) — so that we can recalculate your comparison with the new premiums — plus the date, IP address and the wording of your request. You receive exactly one message with the result and a short confirmation beforehand. The address goes to nobody, not even to our partners, and is deleted 30 days after sending; immediately if you use the unsubscribe link in the e-mail.
Why we log the consent
Since 1 September 2024 telephone cold calling is prohibited in Swiss health insurance (the generally binding industry agreement «Vermittler» 3.0). Intermediaries must be able to prove the origin of a contact at any time. The log serves exactly that purpose — and protects you: without your tick nobody is contacted.
Disclosure — to whom exactly
Your contact details and comparison data go solely to one of the licensed Swiss insurance brokers listed below — and only if you explicitly requested advice. Every request goes to exactly one partner and we record which one. We do not sell addresses and do not pass data to any other third party.
No partner is currently configured; no data is passed on.
Retention and your rights
We keep requests for 24 months (proof obligation) and delete them afterwards. You may withdraw your consent at any time without giving reasons and request access, correction or deletion of your data — an e-mail to info@praemienradar.ch is enough. Swiss data protection law (revFADP) applies.
Cookies and visitor counting
We set a single cookie that remembers your language choice. No ad networks, no third-party analytics — the figures stay on our own server.
We count page views to see whether the site works. We store no IP address: a checksum is derived from the IP address and a secret value, and it includes the date, so it differs the next day. That lets us count how many people visited on a given day — but not who comes back.
Advertising measurement with Meta (Facebook)
We advertise on Facebook and Instagram and want to know which ad actually leads to a comparison. For that this page can load the “Meta Pixel” — a script by Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. that reports your visit and any request to Meta and sets cookies. Meta may link this data to your account and transfer it to the USA.
You can switch the measurement off at any time. We tell you about it on your first visit; if you switch it off, the script is no longer loaded and the site works exactly the same. You can change your choice at any time: turn measurement off · allow measurement.
No data from your comparison is sent to Meta — not your postcode, year of birth, insurer, nor your contact details.
